Trauma Release
Through Guided Visualisation and Neuro Energetic Kinesiology
Guided visualisation and neuroenergetic kinesiology are effective techniques to resolveanxiety, depression, and trauma related issues including Post traumatic stress syndrome in 3-4 sessions.
Most cases of anxiety and some mental health related illnesses can be caused by unresolved distressing events of the past. We store this trauma in our unconscious mind when we are not able to resolve it at the time as we are frightened or intimidated. These key events usually start as a child and help to inform our view of the world. These beliefs are reinforced as we react to similar situations over time when it is perceived as threatening. Over time, these beliefs are like a videotape on repeat which is there in the background reminding us constantly of who we are and how to react in our environment.

Guided visualisation allows the person to sever these videotapes (stored as beliefs) stored in the unconscious mind .These unconscious beliefs stop us from moving on by sabotaging us, so we stay safe. We are often not consciously aware that we’re still responding to past events. We just experience the physical and emotional responses of our system being continuously triggered in the Fight Flight Freeze high stress response – in the hyperarousal state of Fight Flight response of anxiety, or the shutdown survival Freeze response of depression Beliefs such as I don’t deserve to be happy, or I don’t deserve to be treated with respect because somewhere in our past we were told this by a significant other. As a result, we will then continue to repeat the same mistakes or life patterns until we turn off that videotape in our unconscious mind.
Our body, really the whole being, continues to respond as if those events are happening Now and we become hypervigilant and unable to relax resulting in the symptoms of anxiety, depression and PTSD. So, Trauma is not an event but our ongoing response to distressing events that start in our childhood. According to Traditional Chinese medicine, our view of the world and how we see our place in the world is formed by the age of seven years old.
Trauma is stored in our unconscious mind as well as parts of our physical body such as muscles, fascia or tissue and can present as pain or under functioning. When left untreated diminishing the body’s ability to function optimally. This is where neuroenergetic kinesiology works well to resolve these issues.
When we hear the word ‘trauma’, many people immediately think of war, torture, refugees, emergency services and, perhaps, natural disasters. It is better to think of it as a series of distressing events which accumulate causing our system to get stuck in the hyperarousal state of anxiety. For example, a distressing event can be the school teacher who humiliated us in front of the class, the critical parent leaving us feeling not good enough and we strive to be perfect or the bullying sibling. There is only so much stress that can be put on a system before it cracks, resulting in anxiety or other mental health issues such as depression.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The process of guided visualisation and kinesiology reviews your unconscious beliefs and turns off that videotape of distressing events and negative beliefs in your unconscious mind and body by extinguishing it; using guided deep imagination techniques to neutralise thedistressing events and beliefs. This allows the mind and body to turn off the video tapes of the past events and return to a state of relaxation. This process initially deals with the underlying, unconscious core beliefs which keep a person stuck in patterns of thought, emotion, and behaviour. In dealing with this at the beginning of the process, self-sabotage is avoided during the following therapy.
Firstly; The person must be moved to an empowered position in regard to the past distressing events.
Secondly; The body must (somehow) know that the event / events are over.
Then the emotional charge from the past is neutralised, moving the client to a place of empowerment in relation to the trauma.

The person is then shifted from fight/flight/freeze7 position to a place of empowerment and self-regulation. The sympathetic nervous system is calmed. The memory of the trauma is placed firmly in the past. The emotional charge of the past is resolved.

The person quickly moves from their state of fight, flight, freeze, of ‘I’m Not safe!’ to, ‘It’s over… I’m safe now…’ and the feeling of calm returns on all levels. Symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD etc. simply cease.

This therapy is conducted over 4 two-hour sessions which can be conducted online or in the clinic. There will be homework where you will be asked to listen to your unique voice recording after session 2. It is important to allow free time after the sessions to allow processing to be integrated. Some people have felt energised while others needed quiet time to process the session Interested to find out more then please email Fiona your details and we can discuss your situation. Sessions can be booked online
